Mandarin Speaking Site Safety Supervisor (with Yellow Book)

Job description
Position of Site Safety Supervisor for the Coke Dryer Project at Cahya Mata Phosphates Industries Sdn Bhd, which is located at Samalaju, Bintulu.

Must be a certified Yellow Book holder.

Able to communicate in Mandarin and do translation (Mandarin to English and vice versa) in verbal and written forms during discussions with China’s Consultant.

Act as the main HSE representative during meetings and on-site activities.

Attend all required project-related meetings.

Be present on-site whenever required for the project.

Conduct Toolbox Talks and Safety Calls before work begins at the site.

Provide HSE guidance to all project personnel (staff, subcontractors, and clients) in line with the OSHA Act 1994.

Maintain a safe and conducive working environment at the site.

Ensure all safety signage, safety cones, fire extinguishers, and barricade tapes are correctly installed at the project location.

Update attendance records at the Auxiliary Police check post.

Collect daily HSE-related data (e.g., manhours) and prepare monthly summary reports upon request by the Employer or Client.

Assist in preparing all HSE-related documents, including:

Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for milestones such as Hot Commissioning, Performance Test, and Plant Enhancement.

Safety Commissioning Plans.

Hazard & Mitigation Plans (for Operation Manual/Training Module).

Safety Checklists for each milestone.

Ensure all project personnel (Employer and Client) comply with the approved JHA during site activities.

Coordinate with the Client’s HSE team to arrange Safety Induction for GW staff and subcontractors.

Collaborate with both Subcontractors and Client teams during JHA preparation.

Perform standard clerical tasks related to JHA, including scanning, printing, and filing

Ensure that all required DOSH approvals for affected machinery (PMT, PPA, and CF) are obtained in MyKKP system
